7 Significant Benefits of Drinking Water

My Estimation

After reading the benefits, I estimate that most people would sleep with a bottle of water near their beds. It is as easy as it sounds to benefit from it. Scientist were forecasting the results if an individual drinks only water as a liquid instead of coffee, cola or juices. However, the results were astounding to them as well as the individuals. Here are mental and physical benefits of drinking more water.

Mental

Cognitive Functioning: 80% of the brain is made up of water. That is a huge number, I believe. By drinking more water, more blood flow is provided for the brain and the blood flow is what makes the brain healthy and active. As a result, drinking more water can improve the utilization of brain's capacity.

Stress Reduction: Cortisol is known as the stress hormone and it is active if the body is not hydrated enough. Causing us to feel stressed and anxious even there is no reason for it. Once body is hydrated the brain can regulate its chemicals that are responsible for hormones.

Happiness: When stress is eliminated, it is natural for mood to be at a better level. Water ensures a greater blood flow for the body. Therefore, nutrients and hormones such as endorphin can travel more easily, improving the mood.

Physical

Increased Metabolism: Metabolism would skyrocket after 17 oz of water by 30%. Having an increased metabolism would lead to a more energetic day and enhance body's capability of burning calories.

Losing Weight: With increased metabolism, losing weight is inevitable. In the same way, drinking water before a meal can decrease the amount consumed, because hunger might be perceived as lack of fluidity in brain. Furthermore, drinking adequate amount of water for one month is equal to running 8 km every day. Burned calories are equal.

Healthy Skin: Water is the natural cure for skin tissues such as dry skin, toxins and bacteria. It also moisturizes and increases the elasticity of the skin.

Quality Sleep: A result of other benefits like reducing stress and increasing happiness, sleep quality will be boosted and daily fatigue will disappear without you realizing it.
